Welcome to Sigma Scan

Sigma Scan was incorporated as a research and production enterprise in 2002 to build and market ultra-high vacuum (UHV) analytical instruments developed at the General Physics Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (GPI).

Sigma Scan specializes in UHV scanning probe microscopes (SPM) and various setups on their basis for research and technological applications on atomic scale. Each device prototype, before being actually built by Sigma Scan, is developed and deployed in a real physical experiment at GPI. New techniques achieved in such experiments are immediately embedded in commercial models.

Each unit is developed to cover specific customer needs and can be seamlessly integrated in any existing analytical or technological setup.
